Workshop Coordinator
The role of Workshop Coordinator is a board-level voting position.
The ideal candidate’s primary responsibilities are organization and leadership. Woodworking skills are equally important and lend credibility to the workshop operation and reinforce Workshop Monitors.
In addition to responsibilities defined in the Guild Bylaws,
The Workshop Coordinator:
– Is assisted by Assistant Workshop Coordinator(s),
– Manages day-to-day operations of the workshop,
– Manages shop staff and facilitates their training,
– Takes oversight over and enforces the board-approved Workshop Policy and Guide,
– Manages the workshop schedule and publishes via the webmaster,
– Manages the shop budget and approves shop related expenditures,
– Is the workshop liaison to the Bain 50+ Senior Center staff,
– Ensures incidents are reported in a timely manner to the board, Bain Center, and the insurance company,
– Works with the Education Programs Committee Chair to facilitate in-shop training, and
– Attends periodic board meeting and provides operating reports as needed to the Board of Directors.
