Membership Status:
Emeritus – is an honorary title granted by the Board of Directors after nomination by the Recognition Committee. Criteria for nomination are: a living member, with more than ten years in the HCWG, and who has distinguished themselves through their long term service to the guild or their community with no consideration or expectation of recognition or compensation. Dues are waived in perpetuity. The Emeritus member enjoys all of the membership benefits. The Emeritus member will be recognized by announcement at the next general membership event and by email to all. The Emeritus member status will be noted on their membership card.
Active – a member whose dues are paid for the current fiscal. Also. a member whose volunteer status results in their dues being waived by Board of Director’s decision.
Pending – during the member renewal campaign period, May to August, an active member’s status is changed to Pending. This way we can control sending renewal notices by email, and by signals on the web page when the member logs in. Status is changed to Active once the Pending member renews.
Expired – a member who was active in the just previous fiscal year or before, who did not renew when that fiscal ended. You must pay a late fee to reactivate.
