Save the Date: 2015 Guild Annual Picnic Date and Place Set
Rick announced yesterday at the monthly meeting that the 2015 Guild Annual Picnic will be the 22nd of August and once again he and Lisa will host the affair at their place of residence in Glenelg.
We wanted to schedule so as not to conflict with the Howard County Fair, that way Ron and all the members who staff the fair, and who missed last year, are able to attend this year.
Please mark your calendars to save the date.
There are three pages on our website to note:
- Event date, time, and location
- Planning, Information and Committee Sign-Up
- Picnic Photo Album for 2014
We hope you’ll take a moment to confirm attendance with your family. It really is a great time, and with enough volunteers, not too hard on any one person. And, it is a great time to get to know each other even better.

Gene,
One of the things we did in the past to avoid everyone bring a cake was to divide the group into alternate alphabet groups: a, c, e, etc bring dessert item and b, d, f etc bring appetizers/side items. Last year, if this failing mind remembers correctly, the F group, into which I fall brought desserts, so this year should be tasked with appetizers and sides. Does that sound sensible to you to avoid 10,000 brownies and no cole slaw.
Ed
Ed, last year we did not do Alphabetic assignments. We had “register for deserts” and everyone else brought sides. It worked out very easily. No remembering which alphabetic thing applied to whom and there were plenty of sides and deserts for everyone. Easy as pie. If anyone else would like to speak up, we’re all eyes, ears.
