Help: High Temperature Epoxy Choices
I discovered the hard way that PC7 two part epoxy paste has a relatively low release temperature, something below 200F, while sanding knife handles with brass parts expoxied in place.
This happened while working with an assembled stack of wood and brass parts to be used on a full hidden tang mid size Bowie.
i found and ordered the epoxy described below and will let you know my result in the post thread (2017-Nov-5).
A simple Google search revealed Blue Magic 18003 QuickSteel High Temperature epoxy.
The following description applies:

That epoxy is specialized for very high temps, which usually comes at the expense of strength or toughness. Most industrial epoxies (Dow, 3M, Cytec, etc) have high use temps (up to 250) that should meet your needs. Try Cytec K230 kit (4.5oz from Krayden). It has a long shelf life (>2yrs) and is avail in smaller quant. Tip: test in both high heat and in freezer temps
