Help Wanted: Members to Work The Woodworking Show In Baltimore, Jan 5-7, 2024
The Guild is seeking volunteers to work the Woodworking Show in Baltimore for the 2024 season.
Setup starts on Thursday January 4th, and resumes the morning of the 5th The Show starts at noon on Friday the 5th and proceeds through 3pm Sunday the 7th. Cleanup runs from 3 to 4pm, Sunday the 7th.
The show producers are also looking for seminar presenters.
The Producers asked clubs to offer hands-on projects to kids who attend on Saturday. The board has authorized funds to make this happen. Please consider volunteering for the Saturday demonstration period to participate in this activity and encourage the next generation of woodworkers in our community.
Our show homepage on the Guild website covers a lot of information about how you can help. This event allows us to showcase our Guild, exhibit some of your projects, show your skills, talk to other woodworkers who might be interested in joining the Guild, and of course to take in the show, see the latest products and techniques.
Members working the show do not need to buy an admission ticket on their workdays.
An important element of the show is exhibiting your projects. It can be a finished item, or a set of items showing a progression from start to finish. You do not need to attend or work the show to be an exhibitor. Read more, please visit our volunteer form HERE.
Another important element is demonstrating your skills. This takes planning and provisioning. There’s no time to waste. If you would like to demonstrate something, please visit our volunteer form HERE.
If you are not able to complete the volunteer form, or have any questions or comments about our participation in the show, please .
