Help Needed for a Fellow Turner (Done Successfully)
Until midnight tonight Iowa time, Sunday 22 March, woodworkers of America can help a fellow turner her suffered great personal loss, while at the same helping themselves.
It took me a full day to verify the story.
Here it is in a nutshell, links below provide you with the backstory, and how you can help.
Jorge Castaneda is a bowl turner who lives in Maine. His workshop roof collapsed in this winter’s snow.
Doug Thompson, also a turner, has offered to contribute 100% of sales including inventory, shipping and taxes, in cash to Jorge so he can rebuild his shop. He hopes for $10,0000.
You visit Doug’s website, order items, not that you are purchasing to benefit Jorge Castaneda in the order.
Doug also wants people to post where he made his public pledge. Add to the thread and state the dollar amount, including tax and shipping
