Free Wood: Bob Iseman Memorial Wood
During Bob’s final days, he put me in contact with a local Howard County source for free wood in log and chunk form. There are a variety of species: locust, gum, and walnut.
With your feedback, I can obtain some and bring it to the Guild meeting(s).
By special arrangement you could bring your own truck or trailer and with me in accompaniment, visit the site and choose your own. A skip loader is available to help with the loading.

I’m willing to process some wood into bowl blanks for beginners. 6 to 9inch small blanks. I could organize with others to work as a team processing the wood and sealing it.
I would be interested in getting some. I would be willing to rent a truck from home depot for a couple hours, or a trailer for my car (as long as I don’t take more than 1000 lbs or so), and drag some down to the meeting on Saturday for myself and others. On a related note, I would love any feedback on the best way to get this wood processed. I’ll start a new thread and we can talk about it on Saturday.
Thanks!
Just saw the Bob Iseman memorial wood post on the website. Any chance you could grab some small walnut chunks for me? Nothing bigger in diameter than 6 inches or longer than 3 feet.
If you happen to go out there this week. If not, no big deal. I plan on being at the meeting this week.
I am interested in some of Bob’s wood.
