Free Walnut (wet)
One of my friends is having a 60′ Black Walnut tree taken down from her property, on or about September 25th.
She is willing to have the tree service cut the trunk into 4″ lengths and placed at the edge of her driveway in Allview Estates, off Rt. 29 near the Seneca Drive Exit, for any Guild members to take at no charge.
The diameter of the trunk at 3′ above ground is approx. 14″. There will be a few crotches, as you can see in the attached photos. I need to know if any Guild members would like to have any or all of these sections.
You must be able to load them into your vehicle and remove them without their help. She is happy to donate the wood, but I would not want her to have it cut and placed at the driveway, unless I have commitments from people to take it.

I would really appreciate some of this Black Walnut to make a set of billiard rails or at least make some nice veneers out of it. To make a solid rail I would need 6 boards measuring ( 52″ L x 5″ w x 4″ thick) . Let me know if that is possible and I can easily pick up any extra wood as well in my Ford Cargo van that I use to move pool tables. Thanks for this great opportunity.
