There is a sophisticated malware campaign underway targeting Windows users of Microsoft Excel software via an email attachment as a Zip or Excell file and spoofing someone you may know.  In fact, if the person’s email account is compromised the message sender’s email address will be one you recognize.

Do NOT click on any attachments, in an email from anyone without verifying that it is authentic and intended by the real sender.  Verify the email and attachment via a method other than email, such as by phone call or text message.

The guild will NEVER send you email with an attachment.  If you receive one, delete the email and report same to me.  If the guild needs you to view an attachment, we will post it on our website and provide you with steps to retrieve it directly from our website address starting with https://HCWG.org.

If your email interface supports two-factor-authentication, enable it.
