2020-02-25 Workshop Reorganization Committee Update
The Workshop Reorganization Committee had its first meeting this Tuesday morning, 25 February 2020.
We did a careful review of all shop activities including: frequency of usage by members, equipment maintenance and repairs, and the physical improvements put in place by Ron Fico. Additionally, we discussed the financial cost of these activities.
With this background of information we began the process of creating an operational vision for the shop going forward. Once complete, we will present our recommendations to the HCWG board for approval and implementation.
As Ron Fico has proven, shop oversight is a complex and very time consuming task for one person. Therefore, we are still in need of not only a shop coordinator, but additional volunteers to share the oversight responsibilities. We are looking for dedicated members who on a regular basis will help with a variety of tasks such as but not limited to: scheduling updates, record keeping, data analysis, equipment maintenance & repair, shop clean up, and organization.
More information is available on our committee homepage. See it HERE.
