We’ve launched the Auto Emailer, which sends out a daily digest of Posts on the web site. I may expand it to include other kinds of new material or updates as the software tool allows. For now, though, I authored this post to raise awareness across a few topics of timely interest.
Over the past year, some members have established a community service relationship with the Howard County Conservancy (HCC). We delivered a Belmont Elm bench to commemorate their new construction project, and have delivered pens made from a mature Red Cedar that was harvested to make room for construction. The pens were gifted to retiring board members this week. View our HCC homepage HERE.
The December meeting is right around the corner on the first Saturday, the 2nd at Bain Center as usual. Ron Clements is collecting Toys for Tots at the meeting. Want to know who is demonstrating? Click HERE.
The January 2018 meeting is up next and will occur on the first Saturday the 6th as usual, also at Bain Center. We need a demonstrator. Click here for the Demonstrations page and to sign up.
Concurrently, Woodworking Shows of Baltimore occurs Friday to Sunday (5th – 7th) the same weekend. We NEED Volunteers, click here to volunteer. Last year we signed up a bunch of new members. And we got a prime location. I’ve already put us in for it and am looking forward to another banner year.
The February Meeting on the 3rd, promises to be very interesting. Steve Latta is demonstrating table saw techniques during the meeting, and them conducting a member only paid seminar following the meeting from 1230 to 330. Only twenty attendees – sign up here. There is a snow date for the meeting and demonstration moving the events to the following Saturday if needed – on the 10th.
That’s it for now. See you at the next meeting.
