Interested in Walnut Bowls? Matt has produced a number of ready to finish turning walnut bowl blanks. These blanks have been cored with a uniform curved profile and are thick enough to leave enough stock to round moderate irregular roundness resulting from partial drying. All are sealed and ready to turn to desired thickness. These blanks do not have a tenon grip so you will need a pinch chuck, Longworth (™) chuck, or vacuum chuck.
We will bring walnut boards, many with one or two live edge, box elder, cherry, and eastern red cedar, in 5/4 and larger thickness. YOU CAN TELL US what you want to see through this , so we bring what you want.
Proceeds from the sale will help to cover the cost of the project item(s) we donate to Howard County, a portion to the guild general treasury, and to cover milling and handling costs
Wood will be sold to Guild Members in good standing on a per board foot basis:

Donate
Members are invited to produce an item to be donated back to Howard County Recreation and Parks department.
We’ve tried the honor system before where we gifted wood to members with the expectation that the member would complete their project and return it to us to donate back to the county. Except for Matt, George, Carl, Jerry, and Ron Clements, no other member who accepted wood has in fact returned their donation.
For this reason, if you purchase enough wood for your donation project and return it to us, we will refund your wood purchase price in full. Terms of reimbursement – Member must plan their project with us in advance. We will need a description of the project, estimate of board feet, and the planned completion date. This way we can set aside funds for your reimbursement and track progress.
