Howard County Woodworkers Guild (HCWG)
The Guild is a collegial organization of like-minded and creative individuals, dedicated to sharing in the art of fine woodworking craft, nurturing newcomers, and giving back to our community.
Whether your interest is in turning, fine woodworking, carving, finishing, lumber, trees, or camaraderie, all of the above, or you’re not sure; our Guild is for you. Come to a meeting or two and get acquainted.
Our Guild does not buy or make anything for retail sale. We do not buy and sell used woodworking related items. We do provide a marketplace where buyers and sellers, or those seeking help, may post an ad for that purpose.
We offer with limited capacity educational opportunities provided by dedicated and skilled senior craftsmen and women (SME program & Classes). Our monthly meeting is highlighted by impressive show-n-tell reviews of finished projects, and a 60-90 minute skill presentation (Monthly Presentations Schedule).
2019-06-27: Beads Of Courage – Box Collection at July 13th Meeting
Just a reminder that Beads of Courage (http://www.beadsofcourage.org/pages/beadsofcourage.html) boxes and bowls will be collected at the July Guild meeting.
We donate our boxes and bowls to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, Pediatric Oncology Division in Baltimore (https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/johns-hopkins-childrens-center/what-we-treat/specialties/oncology/index.html).
This year Guild members who donate a box or bowl will be entered in a raffle for free tickets to a show of their choice at the AMP https://www.ampbystrathmore.com/. Trisha Cranor the Director of AMP has graciously donated these tickets in support the HCWG Beads of Courage program. If you haven’t created a box or bowl yet the attached file shows the recommended dimensions.
Thanks for your support! See you at the July meeting – Rich
If you have questions for Richard, please use the form for referral to the ad owner, who will contact you at the number or email you provide in the form.
