Workshop Schedule 2026-01-26
Open Monday through Friday, 9AM to 1230PM
Week Nights – 3-6PM or 4-7PM and
Some Saturdays – 830AM-1130AM or 9AM-12PM

MEMBERSHIP PROCEDURES
FACTS:
- A person has to wait a day after joining the Guild to be able to use the shop. FALSE
A person who completes the online or paper membership form and pays the full prorated dues is eligible to use the shop immediately. Their personal tool usage experience aside, the Guild’s insurance coverage starts the moment their dues are paid. - A person must be a Bain Center member to be a Guild member. FALSE
Guild membership is independent of any Bain or other status.
Bain wants all shop users to have completed their “membership” form so that they have emergency contact information, even from those younger than 50 years. Such individuals would not become Bain members until they are 50 or over. - AGE Limits –
- Bain Center members must be 50 or older. TRUE
- Bain Center age requirements apply to Guild members attending meetings or using the workshop. FALSE.
- The Guild’s age limits are as follows: TRUE
- Membership – any age.
- Allowed to use the Shop – 16 or older. If under 18 with their parent or legal guardian in attendance.
NEW MEMBERS:
- All new members are to fill out the online New Membership, https://hcwg.org/new-membership/ or Gift Membership, https://hcwg.org/gift-membership/ form regardless of payment method (
cashno longer accepted, check or credit card). Paper membership forms are a last resort. Copy the URL(s) to a private Safari window, or a new Chrome or Firefox window. Otherwise, if you’re logged in, the existing member’s info will be mapped to your account. - If you (only a monitor or coordinator) accept check payment, place it in the Workshop Cashbox with a note describing the payor, date, amount, and purpose. Complete the Check Receipt online form.

INSURANCE
Insurance Coverage Summary
The Guild maintains General Business Liability, and Directors and Officers insurance through Traveler’s Insurance Holdings. The current policy underwriter has changed occasionally. Most recent activity has been serviced through the use of the Traveler’s Insurance web site portal.
