Vision for the Guild:
Revisit the Purpose and establish some Goals for the Guild.

Revisit How we improve the club going forward in the Recover Covid Era.

Evaluate the Demographics of the guild to establish health and vigor for the future.

Continue to support the outreach into the community and become a vital part of building connections.

Investigate how to use Technology to help in achieving Education, Outreach, and entertainment for the local and greater community of woodworking. Some of these are: Live and Taped meetings, Using Social Media to influence and inspire, YouTube Demos and events, and Podcast.

Continue to shore up the structure of the club and support the committees in their endeavors.

Over all to Inspire Members to be Engaged.

Biography:
My training and education is in Agriculture. I graduated from Penn State in 1991. Presently I am employed with the State of Maryland in the Dept. of Health as a Maintenance Supervisor at RICA of ROCKVILLE.

My Guild Goal:
My goal as President is to serve the Guild and it’s members and to continue working and building a strong and vibrant club, as was done by my predecessors. Because of the strong foundation, I feel this club can reach very exciting levels.

Personal Goal:
I was inspired to pursue woodworking when I saw Sam Maloof build a rocking chair. This is on my bucket list. I have also done research into my family and found that woodworking and farming are in my genes. My Great grandfather started woodworking when he was in his seventies after retiring from farming.

Present Project:
We have recently moved to Mt. Airy. The big project we are working on is finishing the details of the shop and studio. We plan to add 2 decks and trim work.

I have been a member of the guild since the early 2000’s and have long admired the dedicated work of the volunteer leaders and committee chairs. I’m seeking the role of Vice President to contribute to that long tradition of guild support.

I’m confident I can contribute to board decisions with enthusiasm and practical life experience while acting at all time in the best interests of the guild membership.

For the prior 15 years, I’ve been fully employed at APL in the facilities management department. Most of those years were spent as supervisor of the campus operations team resulting in countless late hour phone calls and often disrupting my attendance at guild events. I’ve stepped down from that role and now serve as an individual contributor infrastructure expert.

In my woodworking life, I’ve somehow managed to find some design creativity despite the formal education of two different engineering degrees. My box designs are generally well received and I truly enjoy the challenge of executing by hand precision work on a smaller scale which I sell at the HorseSpirit Arts Gallery.

Biography

My name is Keith Frampton and I am running for the position of HCWG club secretary.  I have been an active woodworker for over 40 years.  I have recently done furniture (design and build) as well as many wood turnings that include solid wood and segmented pieces.  I been a member of the HCWG for 5 years and have enjoyed the many presentations at our meetings.

I have been the treasurer of our condominium building and the condominium regime with a budget in excess of $400K.

My goal would be to keep tabs on our finances, support the guild's goals and maintain our financial records. I have experience and feel I can do a good job.
