2026-03-07 March Monthly Meeting

On March 7th, the First Saturday, our monthly meeting will be in person at Bain Center (info link) and virtual using Zoom technology.

The demonstration for the meeting will be “Hybrid Woodworking: Blending Hand and Machine Techniques“, a panel discussion with Mark Fradkin, Steve Granek, and Bill Skinner.

Machines handle high-volume or rough work—such as milling, ripping, and planing lumber—while hand planes, chisels, and saws are used for fine-tuning, joinery, and detailed work. Our panelists—Mark Fradkin, Steve Granek, and Bill Skinner—will discuss their individual approaches to hybrid woodworking and answer questions about how they use these techniques to create aesthetically pleasing, finely made furniture.
