On August 2nd, the first Saturday, our monthly meeting will be in person at Bain Center (info link) and virtual using Zoom technology.

The demonstration for the meeting will be  “Using 3-D Printing To Assist Your Woodworking, Panelists: Ron Fico, Kenny Nisley and Paul Velez.

3D printing is becoming an increasingly valuable tool for woodworkers looking to improve precision, increase efficiency, and create low-cost, custom solutions in their shops. If you’ve ever considered incorporating 3D printing into your woodworking but weren’t sure where to begin, this presentation is for you.

Three Guild members will share their experiences getting started with 3D printing—from choosing a printer and learning how to use it, to applying it in their woodworking projects. They’ll walk you through the learning curve and discuss how 3D printing can become a powerful addition to your toolkit. Topics will include use of 3D printing to make custom tools and jigs, and to enhance existing tools.

Whether you’re a hobbyist or a seasoned woodworker, you’ll come away with ideas and inspiration to bring digital fabrication into your craft.
