2026-01-10 January Monthly Meeting

On January 10th, the Second Saturday, our monthly meeting will be in person at Bain Center (info link) and virtual using Zoom technology.

The demonstration for the meeting will be “Enhanced Show and Tell, Paul Kishter, Matt Mehalic, and Joe Conny”

• Complex Cutting Board – Paul Kishter
Paul will discuss the process of building an end-grain cutting board with a complex pattern, including the steps involved, the challenges he encountered, and what he would change if he built it again.

• Marquetry – Matt Mehalic
Matt will introduce the tools needed to get started with marquetry and demonstrate the process of cutting a simple design using the double-bevel technique.

• Beads of Courage Boxes – Joe Conny
Joe will present his Beads of Courage boxes featuring a 3-dimensional maze inlay. Each box includes a unique maze. He’ll show how he begins with a simple 2-dimensional drawing, transforms it into a 3-dimensional design, and then builds the inlay.
