Wood Chip News Update – 17 July 2014
Hello Guild Members,
We want to thank you for signing up for an account on the Guild Website. We hope you find visiting the site useful and informative.
We are writing you today to announce several new web site resources that we hope will help you stay informed about upcoming events, and to highlight a few items as well.
New Feature:
A new Calendar tool has been installed. This tool allows us to schedule events and present them on a calendar grid. View it on the HCWG & Calendar of Events pages.
To kick off the new feature, we’ve just added the latest details from Ron Clements about the Howard County Md County Fair – Woodworkers Show. Guild members can drop off their items for judging. There are prizes. Click HERE to visit our County Fair information page to learn more.
Lost and Needs to be Found!
The Guild’s Logo Wooden Plaque has been lost for many months now. It is probably sitting in someone’s garage, and the caretaker is not aware the Guild feels it’s loss. Take a look around in your garage. If you have the Plaque, please contact us, or bring it to the next meeting.
Picnic
We still need volunteers for the Guild Picnic. On the information page, you can learn more about the plan, or get directions to Rick’s House.
Board of Directors Actions:
The Board has been working out the budget for the 2014-2015 Fiscal Year. A report to the membership and vote to accept will be conducted at the August meeting.
Website Tips:
There are two kinds of pages on the site, public facing and member’s only. The public facing pages are intended to provide the public with enough information about our Guild to be inviting, to inspire the visitor to join the Guild. The members only section provides deeper information about the Guild’s activities, including personal contact information.
You must be logged on to view member’s only content. Any member’s only page will provide you with notice to log in if you haven’t already.
If you have trouble –
Start with the Member Profile page;
Trouble with Password – go to the Password Reset page; or
Contact the webmaster – Contact The Webmaster page.
