The Guild creates, educates, and inspires woodworkers.
 
We provide a supportive community where woodworking enthusiasts of all skill levels come together to share knowledge, hone their craft, and promote the artistry of woodworking. Through workshops, educational opportunities, our well-equipped wood shop, monthly presentations and networking, and community outreach, we strive to cultivate creativity, craftsmanship, and camaraderie.

Whether your interest is in turning, fine woodworking, carving, finishing, lumber, trees, or camaraderie, all of the above, or you’re not sure; our Guild is for you.  Come to a meeting or two and get acquainted.

2025-02-01 February Monthly Meeting

On February 1st, the first Saturday, our monthly meeting will be in person at Bain Center (info link) and virtual using Zoom technology.

The demonstration for the meeting is ”Metalworking and Welding for the Woodworker”, by member, David Hickson.

Why care about metalworking as a woodworker? A little bit of knowledge and some simple skills will enable you to create hardware that is not readily available. Mixing metals like aluminum, brass or steel into your wood projects can enhance the final product. Metals can be used toreinforce joints and to create joints that can’t be done with wood alone. Attend the February 1 meeting and learn about commonmetalworking processes that might interest a home woodworker. David Hickson will cover basic approaches and tooling for metal cutting, welding, and shaping.
