Howard County Woodworkers Guild (HCWG)
The Guild is a collegial organization of like-minded and creative individuals, dedicated to sharing in the woodworking craft, nurturing newcomers, and giving back to our community.
Whether your interest is in turning, fine woodworking, carving, finishing, lumber, trees or camaraderie, or all the above, or you’re not sure; our Guild is for you. Come to a meeting or two and get acquainted.
2019-10 October Monthly Meeting on the (correction) 12th @ Roger Carter Community Center, Oella Room, Ellicott City
The October monthly meeting is the SECOND Saturday on the 12th, at Roger Carter Community Center, Oella Room. See below for IMPORTANT PARKING instructions and map.
The demonstration is Expanded Show-N-Tell, coordinated by Joel LaFerriere.
The demonstration will feature Guild members sharing their practical knowledge and tools or jigs as appropriate.
Presentation format will be like an expanded Show-n-Tell
If you have a special technique or jig, tool or practical knowledge to share with the Guild, please contact Joël LaFerriere to get schedule. We need 4 more people , then when you get your confirmation bring it to the meet- ing and tell us all about it!
Do YOU have a favorite you want to show off? Contact Joel to register your presentation. Don’t delay. The first five are a lock, after that you may not get your jig in the slate.
There will also be a parking lot wood sale AFTER the meeting. Bring your checkbook. We will have walnut boards, precut walnut bowl blanks, figure box elder (not much color though), eastern red cedar, and cherry. Stay tuned for more information about the wood sale details.
