Howard County Woodworkers Guild (HCWG)
The Guild creates, educates, and inspires woodworkers. We provide a supportive community where woodworking enthusiasts of all skill levels come together to share knowledge, hone their craft, and promote the artistry of woodworking. Through workshops, educational opportunities, our well-equipped wood shop, monthly presentations and networking, and community outreach, we strive to cultivate creativity, craftsmanship, and camaraderie.
Whether your interest is in turning, fine woodworking, carving, finishing, lumber, trees, or camaraderie, all of the above, or you’re not sure; our Guild is for you. Come to a meeting or two and get acquainted.

Help Wanted: Church School Needs Children’s Outside Kitchen
Webmaster's Take:
This is a pretty cool project (see photos below) for an outside rustic camp-kitchen style play area benefiting preschool age children in Ellicott City. Maybe a few days of work and many days of happy smiling preschoolers! What’s not to love about this opportunity. Please consider volunteering.
Hello,
My name is Jenny and I am the director of First Lutheran Preschool in Ellicott City, Maryland. We are opening an outdoor preschool classroom, and we are looking for someone to build an “outdoor kitchen” to spark children’s imagination. Is there anyone from your group that might be interested in donating some time to help us? Please see the pictures below of example outdoor kitchens from the Irvine Nature Center.
Thank you for your time.
Jenny James
