Mentor Wanted: Child Rocking Chair Rebuild
Attached is a picture of the rocking chair I called you about. The story goes something like:
When Ginni was very young, an uncle made her a child’s rocking chair. It has been in the family every since. Naturally, since it is a small piece, on one arm the vertical piece was broken and thrown away and the other arm rest came off.
I am looking for a wood worker who can take these pieces as shown in the picture and rebuild the chair for our great-grandson who is due in November. This would involve creating the vertical piece to replace the broken one. Probably take the back off and reset/reglue it to the seat as it appears to be loose. The chair probably does not need to be repainted, just the new piece.
Thanks for your help,
