Help Wanted: Robinson Nature Center Open House Booth Workers
This is a call for member support on September 26th, 2021, at the Robinson Nature Center, just off Cedar Lane in Columbia. The RNC Open house will be held on September 26th from 12-5 pm and we hope to staff a HCWG booth with members demonstrating, sharing, and talking about the Guild. If you have a skill or just a pleasant voice, please consider coming out for this event.
I (Greg K) will be present the entire time and will be splitting my attention between the HCWG booth and the adjoining BGCM blacksmithing booth (side by side). Ideally we would have a principle talker and a few craftsmen at work.
In the past we have woven baskets, handmade birdhouses, displayed Toys, and talked about the Guild to passers-by. I would like this year to up our game and do some wood turning, or carving, maybe spoon making and have a more interactive attendee experience.
This year we will present from the river-side-pavilion and will share that pavilion with the BGCM Blacksmiths. In the past we were on the front porch, but in this event we are trying to expand the visitor experience and get people into the park on a discovery trail loop.
If you are able to participate, please contact Greg Knoll who will be coordinating efforts for this event. Greg is also the club secretary and can be contacted at .
Thank you for reading this.
Greg
