Help Wanted: Milling, Planing, And Jointing
I am building a walnut table top (finished dimensions 38″ x 78″ x 1.25″. I have several rough cut boards that I need to edge joint and surface plane that are too large and heavy for my equipment. I am asking if a guild member might have suitable power tools to help me with this task. Thank you in advance.
Editor’s Note: A proper track saw might to the board edges in lieu of jointing a 78″ long board.

Hi Jack,
I currently do not have large shop tools so no help there. As a substitute you can use a table saw with a sled to joint any length of board. I have done a number of them with excellent results even when the saw blade is not exactly at 90 deg. Let me know if this is of any use to you.
