Gene Torrey will be hosting a free wood opportunity Saturday, February 9th, from 845-945am, in the Glenwood Community Center, before the monthly meeting.
I have various species including walnut. Sizes range from 9″ to 15″ or slightly larger, and configuration option include standard straight rim and live/natural edge. Some are straight grain and some are crotches. All have been sawn through the pith. Some are band sawed round. Most of the wood is green/wet. Some is spalted.
I also have some dogwood main stem at the root crown. These are cut into chunks suitable for bottle stoppers and the like. They have distinct red/pink coloration.
Donations to offset expenses are appreciated.
The wood is courtesy of the Howard County Recreation and Parks department. It will be nice if you send a note of thanks. Details on request, or get the info slip from Gene On Saturday when you pick out your selections.
