Dave Stivers prayers and well wishes — 8 Comments

  1. I spoke to Dave this morning. He sounded great. Dave commented that compared to Monday when he arrived for his surgery to today, he feels way better. Glad to be alive. He said he felt like an elephant was sitting on his chest, and that it hurts like heck when he has to cough.

The doctors have him on oxygen and he’ll stay on that until is the O2 levels in his blood improve.

He also mentioned that word of our Guild interest in his situation and recovery has given him positive energy.

Dave thinks he may be discharged Saturday or Sunday.

Thank you all Guild members for keeping Dave in your thoughts and prayers.

  2. Dave, I’m glad to hear you’re through surgery and on the road to recovery. When you get to feeling bored, I’ll be happy to chat with you about that wood project. Until then, rest up and plan your healthy future.

  3. I visited Dave today at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dave came through the surgery fine. He’s talkative, sore, and expecting to be released on Saturday. Dave received a bovine heart valve as a replacement for his own. Please take a moment to reach out to Dave and wish him well.

If you get a chance, you can visit Dave before his discharge. Once you get to the hospital, he is in Section “Two Central”, Room 12.

  4. Dave,

I hope that your surgery went well and that you can now look forward to a full and speedy recovery. Looking forward to seeing you at the guild meetings and back working in your shop.

    Best always,

    Fred

  5. Dave,

Wishing you the best possible outcome for your surgery today and a speedy recovery so that you can resume your life as “usual” ASAP.

    Best wishes,

    Mark Fradkin

  6. Dave, we hope your surgery goes as expected, and your recovery goes smoothly. Get well quick and back to your wood shop.
    Best wishes,
    Gene
