2sand.com or not?
Readers,
I asked in a recent email ad to you about Wurth Wood Group if you wanted me to a) keep sending Wurth ad emails, and b) would you like other woodworking ads? The idea is that the Guild can provide you with a measure of spam anonymity by front-ending merchants and their ad companies.
There were no nay-sayers! And a number of you took the time to reply urging me to do both.
Today I received a very nice email from 2sand.com celebrating Father’s Day. See my excerpt below.
However, after examining the email’s embedding click-tracking-code, and use of a third-party tracking entity, I rejected sending you the email verbatim.
Please don’t get me wrong, I am NOT dunning 2sand.com, or their business decision to track clicks in their email ads, or even to use third parties to collect the information and provide 2sand.com with reports. However, the uncontrolled reuse of your information is a risk I won’t take on your behalf.
I do like 2sand.com as a source for quality sanding and related products. You might want to check them out at https://2sand.com.
Meanwhile, here is a sanitized extract of their Father’s Day message:
“A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.” ~ Billy Graham
The Team at 2Sand recently chatted about the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures we had growing up, and we all agreed that our relationships with these men strongly contributed to who we are today. We talked not only about the love and care, acceptance, and guidance we received, but also the ways these men challenged us to grow and become better versions of ourselves.
One of the team said it well: “My grandpa was great. He knew how to play like a kid, listen like a friend, and put me on the straight-and-narrow when I needed a parent. He was everything to me and I wouldn’t be who I am today without his influence.”
Thank you to all of the Dads, Granddads, and the amazing men who stepped into a father’s shoes for those of us who needed a Dad. Happy Father’s Day!
